Contents of the November 2024 “Mutation” issue
An icon of contemporary cinema, Tilda Swinton veils and reveals herself here under the poetic lens of Jean-Baptiste Mondino. Soon to appear in Pedro Almodóvar's new film, La Chambre d'à côté (due for release January 8, 2025) and Joshua Oppenheimer's latest feature, The End (December 6, 2024), the British actress spoke to Numéro about these latest projects.
The issue also features master photography by Peter Lindbergh, on display at the Galerie Dior until May 2025, celebrating the deep bond between the fashion house and the maestro. In an interview, renowned choreographer Benjamin Millepied talks about his new show at La Seine Musicale, based on a ballet adaptation of Jeff Buckley's legendary album Grace.
Among the young talents featured in this edition are the young American actress Mikey Madison, heroine of Sean Baker's beautiful film Anora, winner of the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, as well as up-and-coming musician Noga Erez. In her album The Vandalist, the young Israeli unveils an experimental pop that is as unusual as it is seductive.
Also in this issue: a portrait of artist Genieve Figgis, currently on show in Venice, the abundant, multidisciplinary work of of Swiss photographer John M Armleder, and an immersion in the InCadaqués photography festival.
